Red Mountain Buggy Tours was born from a lifetime of pure passion for the great outdoors. We are the fresh new face of buggy tours on the Costa del Sol, bringing a wealth of experience to ensure you experience the best guided buggy tour possible. Our fully equipped workshop guarantees that our buggies are the highest maintained vehicles on the coast.
We are also proud to announce that we are the first Buggy Tour on the Costa del Sol to receive full authorisation from the Mijas Council Enviromental department. With fully approved buggy tour route, client safety plan and protection plan for the are we opertate our buggy experience.
Located on the outskirts of Fuengirola (between Malaga and Estepona), Red Mountain Buggy Tours will provide you with a fully prepared two-seater buggy to drive into the heart of the Andalusian countryside across tracks, trails and rivers en route to spectacular unbroken panoramic views.

James Dix
Founder – Mechanic – Guide
James Dix’s journey to becoming the founder of Red Mountain Buggy Tours started when he was just a kid. Growing up, he spent countless hours in his dad’s workshop, soaking up every bit of knowledge about motorcycle mechanics. By the time he hit 19, James had completed his official apprenticeship and was a certified motorcycle mechanic. His first big gig? Working at a Honda motocross dealership, where he got to fix and fine-tune bikes for both local and national riders. This job was a dream come true for James, who had been obsessed with motocross since he was 7.
But James’s story doesn’t stop there. His love for off-road racing led to an exciting new adventure in 2012. He packed his bags and moved to the stunning Costa del Sol to become an off-road motorcycle tour guide. This role allowed James to blend his mechanical expertise with his passion for exploring the great outdoors. Guiding people through the breathtaking mountain landscapes, he quickly realized he had found his true calling.
Fast forward ten years, and James’s dream has come to life with Red Mountain Buggy Tours. This venture is the culmination of over 25 years of hands-on experience as a mechanic and a decade of guiding tours. James is thrilled to share the spectacular Andalusian countryside with adventurers from around the globe. Come join James and discover why he loves these mountains so much!

One of Rocky’s all-time favorite activities is hopping into his custom-made seat and strapping on his stylish goggles, ready to take you on a wild adventure. He’s the four-legged tour operator you never knew you needed. Rocky is always thrilled to accompany you on buggy tours, where his boundless energy and love for exploration shine brighter than the sun.
We love Rocky very much and take very special care of him. Due to the heat in the summer on the Costa del Sol, Rocky takes summertime off but rejoins tours in the autumn and winter months.
Rocky’s love knows no bounds, and his loyalty is unwavering. He’s the ultimate travel companion, whether you’re cruising through rugged terrain or exploring scenic routes. His tail never stops wagging, and his infectious enthusiasm is sure to brighten your day.

We Do
Red Mountain Buggy Tours is oficially approved by the Mijas council and will provide you with the best buggy experience possible on the Costa del Sol.
We offer daily buggy tours, either a morning or afternoon adventures and with safe and secure online reservation, it’s never been easier to organise your buggy safari.
Our top-quality buggies have been specifically selected for overall safety, performance and enjoyment. These fully automatic buggies are easy to drive and will offer you an unforgettable experience. Each buggy seats two people, and there are several viewing points along the route where you and your driving partner can swap seats and take control of the wheel. These stops offer excellent opportunities to take those vitally important photos and selfies!
To create a unique and personal tour experience, we limit each group to three buggies, for a maximum of six people. This also allows us to decrease our impact on the tracks and trails we drive during the route.
